Seeing others express their hurt not only doesn’t make you feel as alone, but also makes you thankful that you are alive. Your pain may be different, but we all need hope and an outlet for our thoughts. We all have our own stories that need to be told, no matter the chronic illness.
Here is where I will be posting others expressions through poetry and artwork about migraine headaches and chronic illness. I picked ones that spoke the most to what I have felt at on point or another in my life. Some are dark and depressing, but that is why there is a need to express that in a health way. I want this to be a place of hope even in the valleys of life. Our pain may be different, but each story needs to be told.
Chronic illness is a silent pain that others can’t see. I want it to be visible and heard for all to see and hear. We hide it all day from those around us, here is where you can be real.
A disclaimer, I have collected these from the internet and I have given credit to all authors. If you see your work here and don’t want it to be on this page, please let me know.
I tried to imbed videos but it didn’t work. So, here they are:
This video is a slide show put to a song called, “Set Me Free”, by Casting Crowns. This is my heart’s cry for myself and everyone else in any kind of pain.
This video is a song called, “You are not Alone”, by Jason Upton. Jason is one of my favorite singers.
