My name is Jen and I’m 29 years old and have been a migraine headache sufferer for 25 years. Yes, that means I start to have these headaches when I was 4 years old. I have a great job I have been at for over 5 years, but I do have days where I have to call in sick. Some are so bad it requires an emergency room visit to manage the pain.
I constantly pursue new ways to get control of these migraines. The medical profession is great (for the most part) in trying to help, but they have fallen short many times in their care. The only way I have gotten through each day is by my faith and love in Jesus Christ, my Lord.
Now I am not perfect, and due to my pain I have struggled with my faith and questioned God a great deal. My friends know me to be one who has a heart for God and prayer, but it is not always easy to pray when faced with this ongoing problem that seems to have no end until I go home to be with God (no I am not planning on dying anytime soon). When we hide our pain and we think no one knows what we are going through, God knows.
